Shooting Portage Glacier in the winter has become one of my favorite places to shoot. At the toe of the glacier there were several runoff streams and pools of blue water that gave great foreground to the glacier and mountains behind. This pool reminded me of the pools formed after rain in the desert southwest.
Awesome place. Great image!
Wow! How did you get the blue to look so real?
That is what glacial ice looks like. The ice under the snow radiates a very blue hue and shows through the water on top. No color effects were added!
That is very cool.
amazing very cool!!
i'm wondering if i can use it for an assignment for school? i need to do a front cover for an annual report and would love to have this be showcased on the front! (i need artist's permission if i want to use photography other than my own. and i'm from the prairies.. we don't have glaciers.. or hills.. here!)
I'm watching this photo couple of times and it is really great.. perfect tones
wow! soo soo blue!! O.O
awesome shot Mike!
This is so pretty!! I love snow and don't get much where i live unfortunately.
Nice capture... couldn't have been easy with all that snow reflecting light everywhere. Those blues are wild.
Yeah it took a lot of shooting but it was a good thing I had a lot of practice before with many bad shots lol
Awesomely beautiful shot! Really really breathtaking!
Where is this, it's beautiful!
woah! I can see why it's a favorite. wonderful!
May I use this in a photo manipulation?
